Beaver Dam is worth considering if looking for a place to raise a family or retire.

History of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin

Beaver Dam is a town in Dodge County, WI. The name of the site where it's located translates to "beaver’s dam" because there were once many Beaver Dams here that could be used for fishing by Native Americans who lived on these lands before European colonization. They had sacred springs, which are currently found within Swan Park.

While not as old or large as some other Wisconsin towns like Madison (founded 1836), and Fond du Lac (1846), the Winnebago Warrior tribe prefers this location due to its proximity between two rivers - Dollar Bayou & Kickapoo River Systems - offering access to game animals such as Beavers, otters, minks, deer, bears & turkeys.

Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, was born in 1856 when the Milwaukee Railroad came to town. This small city grew rapidly into an industrial center with many significant enhancements made during its time as one of America’s wealthiest cities - especially for iron mining companies like the Malleable Iron Range Company, which were founded just before World War I started and employed hundreds of people! Notable natives include movie stars Brian Donlevy (1889-1972), who starred alongside Fred MacMurray--both from Beaver Dam backgrounds.
