As of the census of 2010, there were 49,288 people, 20,332 households, and 11,969 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,429.4 inhabitants per square mile (937.7/km2). There were 22,124 housing units at an average density of 1,073.2 per square mile (413.1/km2). The city's racial makeup was 86.8% White, 2.3% African American, 0.7% Native American, 4.1% Asian, 2.1% from other races, and 3.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.0% of the population.
