History of North Mankato, Minnesota
Mankato is a historic town located in Minnesota. The city is known for its involvement in the Dakota Conflict, its various historical sites, and its close relation to the Minnesota River. The Opera House opened in 1872 and drew in many travelers. Celebrity appearances were joint, and performers such as John L. Sullivan and Roger Miller entertained at the House.
